Great views of the old course and watching the surfers on the beach. We just got a coffee as lunch service finished at 2pm but staff friendly happy for us to just sit with a coffee and enjoy a beautiful view.

We just showed up at around 1pm (on a Thursday during half term in april) and there was seating for all of us (quite a large party) without a 30 minute wait which is great! The food is good, but the fish is fishy and the meat and meaty, there is no chance of you misconstrueing them for anything than what is on the tin, but i really enjoyed the burger and my mum loved her fish cakes!!

Tucked away in a cozy corner, this gem of a restaurant delivers a memorable culinary experience. The Cullen skink was a standout — rich with earthy undertones and a subtle smokiness that added depth without overpowering. Every spoonful felt perfectly balanced, comforting yet refined. The fish and chips offered a delightful contrast: light, crisp batter enveloping tender fish, full of flavor without feeling heavy. It’s a classic done right, and one you’ll want to return to. To top it off, the sticky toffee pudding was indulgent in the best way — warm, moist, and just the right amount of sweet. Absolutely worth every calorie. A meal here feels both hearty and elevated — a place where traditional favorites are honored with care and creativity.

Happened to grab a table for 1 before a huge rush at lunchtime. Definitely make a reservation! The Mac and cheese was a large portion and you can’t beat the view! I think my servers name was Emily?(she had a blonde ponytail if that narrows it down) She was lovely and very attentive.

After one of the most memorable rounds of golf I have ever played with my son we met up with his wife and my wife who is his mother, at Niblick. I had the Hake over mussels which I don’t see on the standard menu online. It was the best meal I had on our trip to Scotland!!! I’m in search of the recipe but if we must return to Niblick from Texas to find it, then so be it!
